Latest Update on O’Kahan Agave:

As of now, we’ve reached 65% of our donation goal, which is incredibly generous. A big thank you to everyone who has donated and those who have helped spread the word about O’Kahan Agave across social media. Your support means the world.

The first batch of O’Kahan Agave is scheduled to arrive at our Jacksonville, FL warehouse in late March or early April. This first batch will consist of 1,200 bottles:

120 Potatorum (Tobala)
120 Angustifolia/Jabali Ensamble
120 Angustifolia/Lyobaa Ensamble
840 Angustifolia (Espadin)

Regarding availability: I’m currently in talks with several liquor stores in Northeast Florida and Texas. These are still early-stage conversations, so more details will follow as we progress.

I’m also finalizing the design for our shipping boxes. I’m focused on getting the most out of the design while keeping costs down.

In an effort to stay true to O’Kahan Agave’s natural and authentic spirit, I’ve switched the bottle labels from plastic to bagasse (made from agave fiber used during the distillation process). It’s a small change that aligns with our values.

In late March, I’ll be returning to Oaxaca, Mexico, to spend time in the agave fields, work at the palenque (mezcal distillery), and handle more bottling and labeling tasks. I’ll also be meeting with partners, shaking hands, and enjoying some mezcal.

After that, I’ll stop in Dallas for a few days to host tastings, record a podcast/interview with the Tequila Wanderer, and have a meeting with a well-known liquor store chain.

The next big phase for O’Kahan Agave is approaching: Distribution.

In the meantime, O’Kahan Agave now has a YouTube channel, which will feature our longer videos. I’ve got 4TB of footage from my time working in the agave fields and at the palenque.

Our new website is almost ready! I’m finishing up the sizzle reel, and my film team is working on a full-length documentary.

Slow and steady wins the race — all is going well.

Thank you again for all your support.
